ABOUT US
Who We Are
Compudava Foundation was founded on July 15, 2003 by executive directors of the Compudava SRL software company - Vasile Nedelciuc, Valentin Metgher and Eugen Cozonac. Foundation official registration took place on July 28, the same year. The Board of Directors comprises representatives of the educational, medical, economical, and public fields with relevant experience. The President of the Board of Directors is the Chief of Computer Engineering Department of the Technical University of Moldova, Senior Lecturer Vasile Gasca.

The Foundation was set up primarily to attract Compudava SRL's partners and Western charity organizations under a charity philosophy to support educational and medical institutions, as well as the population of Moldova in gaining access to informational technologies and other modern devices and materials.

The Foundation also fosters the technical-scientific, educational, cultural, and charity co-operation between institutions and organizations of Moldova and foreign specialized bodies in fulfilling common goals and activities.

From the start, the Foundation has been backed up by the logistic support of the Compudava SRL volunteers and the donation (especially, computers) from the Western clients of the Compudava SRL software company.

One of the first projects completed by the Foundation has provided computers to three important medical institutions (Republican Hospital: 80 computers, Institute of Cardiology: 70 computers, and Balti Municipal Hospital: 50 computers). These efforts helped establish local area networks within these institutions, increase management and treatment efficiency and allow them to implement the health insurance policy plan.

The Foundation enjoys a successful collaboration with local and foreign partners and state organizations in helping on the national and departmental level. The Moldovan government has officially recognised the Foundation's efforts under the Information and Communications Assistance Project (see the Letter of gratitude from government).

Currently, the Foundation is working to provide many budget institutions and disabled people with access to information, and to involve young Moldovan talents in information technology via local and international IT contests. Compudava Foundation is also interested in encouraging the dialog between Moldovans studying abroad, international alumni, both abroad and inside the country.
